W. Darren - asked:
The effect of acne to individuals is alarming. However, there are certain truths that should be made clear so as to avoid wrong treatments and worse skin conditions. Since misconceptions about acne can have dire results, it should be straightened out with following truth:
1. Dirt is the culprit of acne
No! Dirt does not cause acne. Plugs in the follicle of the skin are the causes of acne. These plugs are formed when in the process of skin shedding, the dead cells mix with sebum and clog the pores of the skin. Extreme consciousness in washing and scrubs will do no help because dirt is not the reason for the presence of acne. These actions even increase the possibility of developing acne because they make the skin drier than usual.
2. Direct acne treatment is effective
No! Topical creams applied directly to the acne do not make them disappear. Since visible acne is 2-3 weeks old, they are difficult to treat with direct application of a cream. It is best to avoid the development of acne by preventive treatment of the whole face.
3. Only teenagers have acne
No! Usually, acne appears during teenage years because of hormonal changes. However, acne should not be ignored. If not treated properly, the acne may worsen and consequently result to acne scars, which are much more difficult to treat. It is good to treat acne at its early stages, before it can do permanent damage to the skin.
4. French fries cause acne
No! Actually, there is no solid evidence that certain foods are involved in the development of acne. Not even nuts or chocolates do harm to the skin. But a healthy diet boosts immune system that fights acne. Keep that in mind.
5. Cosmetics can cause acne
Maybe. If the chosen make-up is not “non-comedogenic”, then acne development is more likely. Non-comedogenic products do not result to the clogging of pores. Make-ups should also be hypoallergenic and water-based to prevent any adverse reactions of the skin.
6. Sweating prevents acne
No! Too much exercise can stimulate sebaceous glands of the skin to produce more oil, which when mixes with perspiration and heat worsens the already existing acne.
7. The sun can help
Not really. Little sun exposure can help acne. But too much exposure under the sun can make the skin dry and shed dead cells faster. More dead cells result to more clogged pores. More clogged pores will result to more acne break-outs.
8. ****** scrubs and toners work
No! Scrubs usually tear skin tissue thus resulting to increased probability of bacterial infection and blemishes. Also, toners with contents of alcohol leave the skin dry and stimulate the sebaceous glands to secret more oil that can clog pores and produce acne. Small-grained scrubs and alcohol-free toners are advisable.
9. Acne can be cured
Not at the moment. Although it is not curable, acne can be treated. Treatments only improve the conditions but will not totally eliminate the occurrence of Acne. The best treatment is prevention. But if the acne has appeared, treatments given by certified dermatologists should be taken.

Berry E. asked:
Nobody likes pimples. Period. It’s amazing how life chancing a few dots on our faces can be. And, NO, acne isn’t just a “Teen Problem”. Grown folk have bumps they are tired of looking at, too. Everybody wants to know how to clear pimples. So how do we do that?
Oh there are many, many things you can do to clear pimples and have your face smooth as a baby’s bottom. I don’t want to bore you with some long lecture so we are going to hit only the important parts.
Your body needs water! Our bodies are mostly water anyways, so when we are running low on water our body TELLS US. Believe me, our bodies will start malfunctioning and things will go haywire. Acne is one of those problems.
Over washing does not cause acne. I have no idea where that myth started (my mom still thinks that till this day).
Wow, let’s slow down on the oily cosmetics, ladies. No oily make-up. I know you might be saying “easier said than done,” but it will do wonders.
Get some Vitamin E in your system. Vitamin E is great for your outer shell and clear pimples. You skin need V-E, so sprinkle a little in your cereal or something (okay don’t do it quite like that, but you know what I mean).
By the way, an acne issue can also represent problems that are inside of you. Your body could be unbalanced within causing pimples (and the problem inside of you maybe far worse than a few bumps, so keep that in mind).
Don’t pick with you bumps! Yes, I know it feels great to take out your revenge upon those dreaded bumps, but DON’T. I think you already know what happens when you pop pimples and it isn’t pretty. Other than those horrific scars they leave, they can also inflame the skin and breaking you skin cells can sometimes turn 1 bump into 2 or 3. Yup, you heard me…
Come on, keep your skin from being dry. That’s a no brainer. Dry = issues, got it? Throw some lotion or something on it. Our body is mostly water, remember? If we are dry something isn’t right. We can’t clear pimples with dry skin.
Your skin is very sensitive, so my rule is treat your skin like a crazy guy that is staring at you on the subway: if it seems like there is going to be a problem deal with it fast before things get out of hand.
There are many issues that cause skin problems…and they all ****. However, with that said there is a way to make those ugly pimples clear up is a few days. Click here to Say goodbye to acne and clear pimples for good.

More Health And Beauty Tips
Although putting on make up is more a women as world there are some men that also apply it though they are in the minority. Men that use make up will do so more in the interests of skin care than for looking good. Many women use make up on a daily basis and this can be damaging to your skin in the long term. This will be even more so if the make up you are using is of poor quality. Saving a dollar or two may certainly be detrimental to your skin in the long run. Make up should only be used on healthy skin which is really self explanatory. There are a variety of excellent quality make up products on the market that are formulated using special moisturizers and added herbs that double as skin care in the make up itself. If you use make up regularly rather aim for these.
When using make up there are a few pointers that will help take care of your skin so that you will look good and your skin will not take a beating.
Here is a guide on make up and make up products that should help you maintain a beautiful skin:
1. When you buy make up products check out the ingredients they have and always but them with your skin care in mind. After all you will be applying them to your face and body so if they double as skin care then you know they will be worthwhile. If you buy make up that causes any sort of skin reaction or you see that you are allergic to it avoid it forever. Check for make up that has excessive alcohol content in it as these are a no-no. They will dry out all the natural oils you have in your skin.
2. Only use make up before the expiry date. If you have old cosmetics and make up on your dressing table or in your bathroom cabinet that are passed their ‘best by’ date dispose of them safely. Always Keep track of the expiry date on your skin care and make up products. It has been discovered that certain vitamin C products can expire well before the specified date so be careful if you prefer using these.
3. Cleansing your skin before applying make up is important. The same goes when removing make up at the end of the day. Naturally you have heard that it is not good for your skin to sleep with your make up on, so take time using a good make up cleanser followed by a quality moisturizer before bedtime which should be a good habit. You make up should also be in good condition. Keep lids tightly shut after you have used them and keep your eye liner pencils sharp and your lash enhancers sealed.
4. When applying makeup then tie your hair up or cover it with a towel especially if you are applying foundation. Naturally your hair care follows on to skin care so keep your hair clean is also part of the make up routine.
5. Take care of your nails properly and use quality nail varnish that has an ingredient in theta keeps your nails from chipping and splitting. Nail care beauticians like to apply a standard color and add a lacquer finish for extra sheen and strength. When you remove nail polish, always be sure to apply a good skin care moisturizer especially to your cuticle area. There are superb cuticle oils that you can find at the make up counter which contain aloe Vera and other herbal ingredients that are great for your hands.
6. When you use eye shadows use a light color if you have deep set eyes and rather use a liquid eye shadow rather than the pencil variety. This helps against smudging as well. If you pluck your eye brows rub in some skin moisturizer straight afterwards. If you are applying make up the following day try and pluck your eye brows the night before. Sometimes the area tends to become tender and swell. Make up may then cause a reaction with the area.
7. For people that suffer from blemishes and acne care needs to be taken with the choice of foundation products and make ups. Man made chemical types of make up can scar and cause even more damage to your skin. A beautician or qualified dermatologist can give you the right advice. There are products available for sensitive skins which can be used. Do not try and squeeze pimples because this can spread infection as well as cause scarring. There are hundreds of very effective products available for teenage acne and for adults that will solve the problem properly without hurting your skin the way squeezing will.
8. Purchase proper make up removers and complementing pads to clean off make up. Work over your entire ****** area to make sure every bit of make up is removed and then following with a ****** wash.
9. When using deodorants apply them by spraying at least 20cm away from your actual skin unless they are roll on. Do not apply deodorants and perfumes to the same part of your body where they may clash.
10. Take time to apply make up properly when you put it on. A slapdash job will look slapdash and may also be uncomfortable as well. Many women keep a small touch up make up purse in their handbags to repair little smudges and runs. Also keep a make up remover in the same bag as well ready for emergencies.
Make up and skin care goes hand in hand. The better you take care of your skin the longer you will enjoy a smooth elastic and young looking skin. That’s the secret to the film stars beautiful looking skin. Ensure you follow a proper skin care routine without exception with the best products available on the market.

Carmen VJ asked:
My baby’s beautiful face has acne or some kind of rash all over his face. A newborn with acne? What is going on? There are many forms of baby acne and you should be aware of the different conditions. Your new born is breaking out with these red bumps and I know it can be frustrating to you. There are many forms baby acne you should be aware of are:
Neonatorum is a baby acne condition that affects about 20% of newborns. This acne stems from a mom’s maternal hormones that are carried in the bloodstream of a newborn and a baby can have these breakouts right after delivery or within 3 weeks of age.
Some different kinds of acne that you baby may experience and called Pustules(also can be know as whiteheads) and Papules. Pustules are small bumps in the skin with pus. And Papules are small red bumps the will rise on top of the skin. These two different forms of acne can show up around the face, on the cheeks and sometimes on the scalp. This kind of acne should disappear within 4 months.
Newborn acne can sometimes get confused with these two conditions called Milia and Infantile Acne. Milia will present itself during the first week of life. And this kind of acne is usually associated by the warming of a baby who is placed in a incubator. A fever can also be presented as well. And then you have Infantile Acne. This type of acne can develop at the age of three months or even later on. And this condition can be more severe. This type will disappear after a baby is one years old. A baby can also have this Infantile Acne way up to 3 years old. And if this happens, this is usually due to family genetic. A strong family history of this genetic.
Seborrhea is another skin condition and you should watch for these kind of symptoms. You will start to notice very very small bumps and yellow crusty flakes or scales on hair bearing areas such as the scalp, the eyebrows or the eyelashes. This condition can sometimes affect the neck and shoulders too. This condition is sometime compared to eczema. This should go away on its own. Give your baby’s doctor a call if you feel your baby is experiencing this.
Infant Eczema is a very common condition. Red bumps and patches are in various locations. This will commonly present itself on a baby’s face and cheeks. Some babies will experience this rash all over their bodies as they get older unfortunately. And for some as a baby gets older, he or she will outgrow this. This type can be treated with many topical creams by prescription or you may be able to use some over the counter medications. You should consult with your baby’s doctor on this.
In order to help keep this under control you should keep your baby’s face clean with water at least two to three twice’s a day. You can use a very mild soap or a non soap cleanser. Do not use any oils. And do not wash your infant’s bibs, towels, or clothes with harsh detergents. Keep the neck area very clean. Make sure your baby is not allergic to anything. You should really keep a eye on this. For infants over 3 months that continue to break out, you can try a mild lotion with no more than 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. Never scrub a baby’s skin. And be careful not to over heat your little one with layers and layers of clothing or in hot areas. Keep the skin moisturized with oil free lotions and unscented. Remember gentle cleansers and no oily products.
Parents, if you are concerned about taking pictures, don’t be. You can still take pictures of your precious little one. And if needed, a professional photographer does touch-ups. This newborn acne is just a temporary setback and your infant will not remain with this acne forever. Go ahead and take those gorgeous pictures.

Thomas Middleton asked:
Taking care of your skin is important for lots of reasons. If you don’t take care of your skin, the rest of your body is affected in one way or another. Taking care of your skin is especially important when you are struggling with acne. Taking care of your skin also makes it look good, which makes you feel good as well. It makes others want to talk to and be around you, it makes you more popular. Teens especially know all about skin care, probably better than most adults since a majority of teens experience acne.
Now if you struggle with acne, then chances are you have been through many different products without much success. Either the product you try doesn’t work, or it doesn’t work well enough or long enough. It seems hard to find the right product that will give you the long-lasting results you are looking for.
So here are some tips and tricks that will get you on your way to being acne-free, happier, healthier, and just better overall:
Tip #1: Clean your skin! Your face is where everyone is looking at, so you want to keep it looking and feeling nice. Don’t be touching it all the time with your hands that are probably covered in bacteria and dirt that could only serve to make your acne even worse. Also develop a regimen of cleaning your skin every day, at least twice, when you wake up and when you go to bed.
Tip #2: Control the oil. Don’t buy cosmetic or acne treatment products with lots of oils in them. The reason you are experience acne in the first place is because of a buildup of excess oils in the skin.
Tip #3: Don’t touch, just resist. By touching your blemishes and pimples you will only make them worse and possible infect them.
Tip #4: If you are a women or man masking scars, choose makeup with a minimum amount of oils in them. Make sure the product says “noncomedogenic” on it, as this means the product will not clog pores.
Tip #5: Make sure when you shave, you take care time and don’t cut yourself or pop any existing pimples or zits, as they may get infected.
Tip #6: Despite popular belief, tanning yourself to death does not help acne, so limit your sunlight exposure to a normal amount everyday.

Stevie James asked:
Yeast infection bumps are little raised bumps that appear on the skin on or around the infected area. The yeast infection usually likes warm and moist places which typically is your ******* area. This is where the Candida yeast fungus causes the most infections in people.
The horrible soreness, itching and rashes occur when the yeast starts to grow out of control and multiplies rapidly in those areas, this inflames the skin and surrounding tissue and causes an infection.
How do I know if I have yeast infection bumps?
It should be pretty easy to spot them, they will appear either on or around the infected area and will look like little raised dots, often surrounded by a red rash. Sometimes they are not so much bumps, but can manifest themselves as sore, red patches or cracked skin.
However they appear, these are all symptoms of the yeast infection and all ad up to the same condition. The only thing you need to be aware of, is that the red patches and bumps are also nearly identical to the symptoms of ******* herpes.
The only way to be able to be 100% sure that they are yeast infection bumps is to treat the symptoms as a yeast infection, and if at the end of the course of treatment they are still there, then they must be herpes related and not from a yeast infection.
If the symptoms are from a yeast infection and the treatment did relieve the symptoms, don’t rest here as you haven’t cured the underlying cause of the infection and it will come back. You also need to make sure you remove the root cause of the infection as quickly as possible, because repeated infections over time will lead to chronic yeast infections that have serious long term effects on your health. These can include entering the bloodstream, the brain and internal organs so it is important to cure it as soon as possible!
So, how can I quickly cure my yeast infection?
For starters - forget drugs and over the counter remedies, these are no good. Why? because the only relieve the symptoms of the infection and not the underlying cause, so they just keep coming back again and again (and making the drug companies richer in the process). What you need is a natural cure that will remove the root cause of the yeast fungus and stop it coming back.
Fortunately, there is a breakthrough Natural Yeast Infection Cure released that is medically proven to cure your yeast infection. This treatment is 100% safe, effective and is guaranteed to cure your yeast infection in just 12 hours, that really is all it takes.
Plus, as well as curing the underlying cause, it also starts relieving the symptoms (such as the yeast infection bumps, redness and itching) immediately. There really is not faster working yeast infection treatment than this one - no wonder it is the best selling treatment to date.

Andrew Bean asked:
For many of you the term “lock bumping” is something you’ve never heard of, you’ll be blissfully unaware of the potential jeopardy your home and possessions are in due to this phenomenon.
Let me explain. ” Many locks throughout the world use what is known as a pin tumbler mechanism, inside the lock there are a number of cylinders know as pins, when a key with the corresponding cuts is placed in the lock the pins are pushed back and the lock is opened. This is essentially how locks have been made for thousands of years.
The “Bump Key” exploits this weakness using simple physics. The key has been filed to give it a profile that will fit any lock of a corresponding size. It is inserted into the lock and then tapped with a blunt object (hammer, ***** driver handle etc.) the kinetic energy from the strike travels up the key causing the pins to move,(Imagine hitting a cue ball on a snooker break, you hit the balls at the front but all the balls move) if the key is turned at the correct moment the lock will become free and the door will open.
This is a painfully easy technique to master and a small child can pick it up within a minute. This is why it is becoming the burglars favourite tool. It allows them to gain access to your home without having to break any glass, climb any drain pipes or carry any suspicious tools. He simply opens your front door and walks in.
This can cause problems when you try to claim on your insurance as there is no evidence of a break in. It appears as though the forgetful home owner has left his or her property unsecured.
To protect yourself you should consider changing your locks, there are many anti bump locks available and a little research on the internet will yield some positive results.
Obviously lock bumping isn’t the only way a persistent house breaker can gain entry into your home and you should always bare this in mind when buying conservatories windows and doors. Web sites like Conservatory TV provide extensive coverage on security for your glazing products and are well worth a look when considering this kind of purchase.
